The purpose of the South Coast Quality Improvement in Rural Healthcare elective is for students to gain experience and proficiency in the science of quality improvement in a rural healthcare system. Students will participate in performance improvement initiatives and will work with an interprofessional team of clinicians and administrators to improve patient care and prevent medical errors. Students will learn and apply system solutions to improve rural healthcare delivery.
