PATH 741Z Pathology Continuity-Away

The purpose of this elective is for students to have more in-depth experience in Pathology at an outside institution. Students must make special arrangements with an away institution.

Experience must allow students to maintain continuity in at least 2 of the following 3 ways:

Continuity with the same patient population (e.g., similar patients with a specific condition at a different time point in treatment, such as a patient with a newly diagnosed malignancy, another patient who has undergone surgery for the same kind of malignancy, and yet another patient who is undergoing chemotherapy for the same malignancy.)
Continuity with the same health system
Continuity with the same preceptor(s)

Graded: Pass/No pass
May be repeated for credit
