This course aims to introduce students to the modern, evidence-based treatment of patients with obesity through clinical experience with diverse interprofessional fields including endocrinology, surgery, nutrition, and psychology. This two-week course will focus on clinical encounters with patients in outpatient, inpatient, and operative settings. Some components of this elective course can be tailored based on a student’s professional interests and goals. There is also an opportunity to incorporate a specific focus on pediatric patients with obesity if desired.
