ACNP 792 Practicum in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care II Credits: 3 This second clinical practicum initiates a five-term series of clinical rotations focusing on the clinical management of patients, adolescent to geriatric age, with complex chronic, acute and critical illness and injury. Clinical placements are arranged by faculty and will include participation on a variety of interprofessional medical and surgical teams. Clinical rotations require students to perform as a member on a clinical team. Students will have a variety of team specific duties assigned to them, including the evaluation and management of patients, and participation in team based educational opportunities. Clinical conferences will focus on student case presentations for diagnostic reasoning and clinical intervention. Conference may include acute care journal club and discussions of selected practice specific topics.
Graded: A-F May be taken only once for credit
