NMID 732 Advanced Issues in Lactation

This course will build on the foundation for the evaluation and management of lactation from previous graduate level courses. Students will increase their knowledge, skills, and confidence to provide comprehensive care to breastfeeding families experiencing common complications of lactation after hospital discharge. By the end of this course, students will display confidence in evaluation, diagnosis, and utilization of the intersectionality of social, emotional, and biological factors to formulate family-centered care plans.
