NMID 792 Practicum in Nurse-Midwifery Management of the Intrapartum Period

This course focuses on clinical application of content from NMID 753 Nurse-Midwifery Management in the Intrapartum Period. Students will continue to have clinical experiences in antepartum management while adding clinical experience in inpatient assessment, intrapartum and postpartum management. Students will have weekly clinical experiences in various sites under the direct supervision of clinical faculty or community preceptors. Seminars will be used to synthesize and integrate theoretical and research perspectives with the clinical aspects of patient care.
