NRS 321 Foundations of Nursing in Chronic Illness II and End of Life

This course builds upon Nursing in Chronic Illness 1, with a focus on mental health conditions and end-of-life nursing care. In this course, learners will apply clinical judgment using person-centered care practices in caring for people with chronic physical and/or mental health conditions that affect functional status and may impact important relationships. Legal and ethical aspects of care are incorporated to guide evidence-based, person-centered nursing care. The course includes classroom and clinical learning experiences. This course may precede or follow Nursing in Acute Care 2.
