NURS 728 Health Policy & Population Health Credits: 3 This course will provide an overview of healthcare policy at the state and national level, and provide a foundation for evaluating its impact on health outcomes. Basic principles of population health will be explored within the context of epidemiology, determinants of health, health equity, and health disparities. Social, political, legal, and economic factors are used to understand the relationship between health policy and population health.
