The Foundations of Patient Safety and Interprofessional Practice series (IPE 401, IPE 501, IPE 601, IPE 701) introduces early healthcare learners to the four core competencies of interprofessional education: Competency 1: Values/ ethics for interprofessional practice, Competency 2: Roles and responsibilities for collaborative practice, Competency 3: Interprofessional communication practice (CC), Competency 4: Interprofessional teamwork and team-based practice. Learners collaborate to learn the foundations of patient safety and how working together can improve patient care outcomes.
