This radiation biology course focuses on radiation protection aspects of whole body irradiation, radiation effects from partial body irradiation, and theory behind calculations used to related radiation doses with outcomes. Target audience is graduate-level students interested in radiation biology as it pertains to diagnostic imaging and therapeutic medical physics. Topics include: radiation syndromes, rational behind dose limits, normal tissue complications & tumor effects of irradiation.
