NUTN 527 Nutritional Epidemiology Credits: 2 Nutritional Epidemiology is a 2 credit hour course designed to introduce basic concepts and methods in epidemiology and nutritional epidemiology. The focus of the course is on considerations related to the design, analysis, and interpretation of population-based nutrition studies. Topics will include methods for assessing dietary intake, adjustment for energy intake, use of biomarkers in nutrition-related studies, methodological challenges in nutritional epidemiology research, and the application of nutritional epidemiology research to health policy.
