PAST 520 Principles of Professional Practice III

This course builds upon the principles learned in PAST 518A Principles of Professional Practice I and PAST 518B Principles of Professional Practice II. Multiple teaching methods are used to engage students in learning about the health beliefs and health risks of a variety of cultures and special populations. The concepts of health promotion and disease prevention are explored further, and students continue to learn and apply the principles of effective patient-provider communication and health promotion. The course will also build upon the principles of professionalism and medical ethics discussed in the summer and fall terms.
