AMBL 709V Ambulatory Care in Women and Gender Diverse Clinic Portland VA

Develop skills in patient communication, population management, clinical diagnosis/reasoning and management in the care of both acutely ill and complex chronically ill Veterans. The population of this clinical consists of active duty and retired Women and Gender Diverse Veterans throughout the life span, with a focus on Trauma Informed Care, Healthcare Policy, and Patient Centered Team based Medical Care. Students will work one on one with experienced faculty to independently collect history and physical, develop a differential diagnosis, and interpret recommended labs and test results. Students will also work with an interdisciplinary team to practice population-based medicine.
